Mosby: Tricks of the Trade

JM covers A LOT here.

Below is just a tiny portion of what he goes over. He goes into more detail than I do here.
Part 1 - Sample topics covered:
  • Never lose your temper in the field.
  • Hydration is critical, but do not overlook the replacement of electrolytes in the system.
  • Sleep with your weapon locked and loaded, safety engaged.
  • Inspect and test all magazines before conducting an operation.
  • Tie off EVERYTHING attached to your LBE. Snaps fail.

    Part 1 here

Part 2 - Sample topics covered:
  • Paint your f*cking weapons!
  • Carry a notebook and pencils, in a pocket, in a waterproof container.
  • Everyone on a patrol should have at least one tourniquet in the same place.
  • Unless it is pissing rain, do not urinate on rocks, leaves, or bare dirt.
  • Do not fall into the development of habits. Be unpredictable.
  • If you use a solid colored rucksack, break up the silhouette of the pack with some judiciously applied Krylon.

Selco: Fighting Superior Forces

When you face superior forces, no matter if tanks or storm or other challenge. Stop and think (hardest part because instinct tells you to RUN or react in some automatic way!) – understand that thing and its power – understand its weakness – take advantage of its weakness to get away, overcome or destroy it.
Go read the rest of Selco's post here.

If it is made by man, it can be broken by man.

Also read this.

Be ready for the surprise test.

Anaheim Police Dressed in ACU's Stop Protest Near Disneyland

The line between military and 'peace officers' 'Law Enforcement Officers' continues to be blurred.

Latest example is Anaheim, California; Home of The Happiest Place on Earth.

In an effort to prevent protestors from reaching Disneyland, who were marching against the shooting of an unarmed man by the Anaheim police, horse mounted patrols and officers in full ACU (Army Combat Uniform) battle dress were sent out to quell the march.

The march appears to have been co-opted by by a couple of commie and socialists groups from Los Angeles.

Regardless, is this what our 'Peace Officers' 'Law Enforcement Officers' have become?

What the hell are they doing in ACU's?

And who the hell is this guy and why is he video taping?

Shot placement.

Be ready.

UN Arms Treaty Dead

According to the Washington Times, "talks over the UN Arms Trade Treaty fell apart today, effectively killing the agreement."

This confirms Rich T's earlier post.

Well, this gives us a little more time to plan and prepare.

Don't breathe easily yet.

They won't stop.

DHS Funded Video: Run. Hide. Fight - Surviving an Active Shooter Event

In light of the recent Aurora, Colorado theater shootings, the city of Houston has released a video that was funded by a DHS grant.

In a nutshell, they recommend the following course of action if you find yoruself in an active shooter event:

  • Run if a safe path is available. Always try and escape or evacuate even if others insist on staying.
  • Encourage others to leave with you but don’t let the indecision of others slow down your own effort to escape.
  • Once you are out of the line of fire, try to prevent others from walking into the danger zone and call 9-1-1.
  • If you can’t get out safely, find a place to hide.
  • When hiding, turn out lights, remember to lock doors and silence your ringer and vibration mode on your cell phone
  • As a last resort, working together or alone, act with aggression, use improvised weapons and fight.
Yeah, that will work.

After all, it worked in Columbine, Virginia Tech, Aurora, and many many many others before that.

Watch this crap and feign surprise when the shooter didn't obey the 'no guns' sign on the main door when he entered.

And being that this video was made in Texas, you have to wonder why they didn't opt to show people pulling out their guns and shooting the bastard.

Too politically incorrect I suppose.

Hi-Capacity Magazine Ban Sneak Attempt

Like your 'High Capacity Magazines' for your firearms?

So do I.

So this should piss you off!

They (and you know who I'm talking about) are trying to sneak in a High Capacity Magazine Ban into the Cybersecurity Bill.

Here is the language:

SA 2575. Mr. LAUTENBERG (for himself, Mrs. BOXER, Mr. REED, Mr. MENENDEZ, Mrs. GILLIBRAND, Mr. SCHUMER, and Mrs. FEINSTEIN) submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 3414, to enhance the security and resiliency of the cyber and communications infrastructure of the United States; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows:

At the appropriate place, insert the following

(a) Definition.–Section 921(a) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting after paragraph (29) the following:

“(30) The term `large capacity ammunition feeding device’–

“(A) means a magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device that has a capacity of, or that can be readily restored or converted to accept, more than 10 rounds of ammunition; but

“(B) does not include an attached tubular device designed to accept, and capable of operating only with, .22 caliber rimfire ammunition.”.

(b) Prohibitions.–Section 922 of such title is amended by inserting after subsection (u) the following:

“(v)(1)(A)(i) Except as provided in clause (ii), it shall be unlawful for a person to transfer or possess a large capacity ammunition feeding device. “

‘‘(ii) Clause (i) shall not apply to the possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device otherwise lawfully possessed within the United States on or before the date of the enactment of this subsection.

‘‘(B) It shall be unlawful for any person to import or bring into the United States a large capacity ammunition feeding device.

‘‘(2) Paragraph (1) shall not apply to—

‘‘(A) a manufacture for, transfer to, or possession by the United States or a department or agency of the United States or a State or a department, agency, or political subdivision of a State, or a transfer to or possession by a law enforcement officer employed by such an entity for purposes of law enforcement (whether on or off duty);

‘‘(B) a transfer to a licensee under title I of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 for purposes of establishing and maintaining an on-site physical protection system and security organization required by Federal law, or possession by an employee or contractor of such a licensee on-site for such purposes or offsite for purposes of licensee-authorized training or transportation of nuclear materials;

‘‘(C) the possession, by an individual who is retired from service with a law enforcement agency and is not otherwise prohibited from receiving ammunition, of a large capacity ammunition feeding device transferred to the individual by the agency upon that retirement; or

‘‘(D) a manufacture, transfer, or possession of a large capacity ammunition feeding device by a licensed manufacturer or licensed importer for the purposes of testing or experimentation authorized by the Attorney General.’’

(c) PENALTIES.—Section 924(a) of such title is amended by adding at the end the following:

‘‘(8) Whoever knowingly violates section 922(v) shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 10 years, or both.’’

(d) IDENTIFICATION MARKINGS.—Section 923(i) of such title is amended by adding at the end the following: ‘‘A large capacity ammunition feeding device manufactured after the date of the enactment of this sentence shall be identified by a serial number that clearly shows that the device was manufactured after such date of enactment, and such other identification as the Attorney General may by regulation prescribe.’’
Call your Senators first thing in the morning and DEMAND that they not support this back deal sneak attack on your 2nd Amendment Rights!

The storm is coming.

TL Responds to Column: Time to Repeal Second Amendment?

Evil cannot be legislated into compliance.
The massacre in Colorado is just one instance of things gone wrong, of a person gone wrong. It is not a society that is wrong, it is not a document that is wrong, it is a person.
TL responds to Jerome Christensen's column and attempts to educate him on why repealing the 2nd Amendment is completely lacking in logic.

Some people still think you can legislate people's behavior by banning inanimate objects.

Obviously they don't live in reality.

More Anaheim Mayhem: Protesters vs Police

Protester claiming to be related to man gunned down by police last weekend taunts police to shoot her.

On Sunday, the police opened fire with pepper balls, rubber bullets, and bean bagshot on men, women and children who were protesting the police shooting of an unarmed man in the back.

“He was shot first in the back, but he was down," Diaz’s mother, Genevieve Huizar, told NBCLosAngeles.com through tears Sunday, “then they shot him a second time. They shot him in the head.
A larger protest took place today. See video below. Sorry about the commercial. Just get through it to see the chaos.

Did you notice anything funny about some of their helmets?

Did you see some of them with what appears to be digital camo helmet covers?

What's up with that?

In case you missed your invitation to the Police State, willkommen!

Mosby: Basic Intelligence Tasks Skill Level I

Mosby discusses SKILL LEVEL I Common Intelligence Tasks that provide the individual fighter the means to effectively and simply collect and report tactical intelligence.
Intelligence is an absolute requirement for the guerrilla fighter. Without intelligence, the guerrilla will never have initiative and will always be subject to lethal surprise. Intelligence begins at the most basic level of organization---the individual fighter.

History Lesson for Lame Stream Media

Gunny G. makes it easy for the Lame Stream Media to connect the dots when reporting on mass shootings such as the one in Colorado today.

Gunman in Theater Kills 12, Wounds 50+ in Colorado

My co-worker was supposed to be there last night. Thank goodness she decided not to go.

Apparently in this theater, nobody had a CCW to stop this madman.

And some in my family wonder why I CCW EVERYWHERE!

A gunman wearing a gas mask set off an explosive device and then fired into a crowded movie theater near the Aurora Mall, killing 12 people and injuring at least 53 others during a midnight opening of the latest Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises."

Police arrested a man wearing a gas mask next to a white car in the parking lot behind the theater. 7NEWS has confirmed that the suspect is a 24-year-old white man, James Holmes."He did not resist.

He did not put up a fight," said Frank Fania, a police spokesman.
Moviegoers said they didn't know what was happening when they heard a hissing sound and smelled smoke, and some thought the attack was part of the movie, since it occurred during a battle scene. Then they saw a silhouette of a person in the smoke at the front of the theater near the screen, pointing a gun at the crowd.

Many of those injured or killed were young adults, teens or kids. The victims range in age from 3 months to 45 years old. The 3 month old has been discharged and is doing well, a hospital spokeswoman said. Many of the victims were rushed immediately to hospitals in police cars by responding officers because there were not enough ambulances.

Ten people died in the theater, two more were rushed to nearby hospitals, and were pronounced dead. The Police Department initially said 14 people had died.

Below are some pictures from my co-worker. The suspect lives across the street and the entire neighborhood is blocked off.

Gun Grabber #1, Mayor Bloomberg is already coming out with his gun ban rant as is British twat Piers Morgan.

Not surprised.

Is it a coincidence the the UN Gun Ban Treaty goes up for voting in 7 days?

Prayers for those affected and for justice against the madman who perpetrated this.

Stay safe!

Judge: Naked TSA Protester Protected by 1st Amendment

We can laugh, we can gawk, we can make fun of Mr. Brennan, but he did something instead of going along to get along.

Mr. Brennan put words into action.

He risked ridicule, arrest, and uncertainty to protest against the TSA's (in the name of safety) groping, fondling, and humiliation procedures.

He gave the TSA a big "F*CK YOU!" and won.

He deserves our respect.

Here's the story.
If you ever want to strip down naked at Portland International Airport, congratulations — there’s now a legal precedent that puts you in the clear.

John Brennan, 50, was found not guilty this week over indecent exposure charges filed earlier this year.

On April 17, Brennan was attempting to fly out of Portland International in the state of Oregon when a routine security screening raised a red flag. After a TSA agent allegedly identified traces of nitrate on Brennan’s body, the would-be passenger stripped off his clothes in what he says was an act of protest.

“For me, time slowed down,” Brennan tells reporters. “I thought about nitrates and I thought about the Oklahoma City bombing.”

Although agents with the Transportation Security Administration never actually called Mr. Brennan a terrorist, he felt that such was implied. Instead of arguing with the officers over what they did or didn’t find on his person, he figured he’d give them the go-ahead to inspect him inch by inch.

"When interviewed about his actions, Mr. Brennan stated he fly's (sic) a lot and had disrobed as a form of protest against TSA screeners who he felt were harassing him," reads the police report filed for the incident. "Mr. Brennan's actions caused two screening lanes to be closed and while some passengers covered their eyes and their children's eyes and moved away from the screening area, others stepped out of the screening lanes to look, laugh and take photos of Mr. Brennan.”

Deputy District Attorney Joel Petersen had argued that the strip-down was an act of indecent exposure and nothing less, but for Brennan — and oddly enough, the judge — it was simply a very peculiar protest.

“I was aware of the irony of removing my clothes to protect my privacy,” Mr. Brennan told the court from the witness stand on Wednesday.

Following a brief hearing on Wednesday, Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge David Rees ruled that Brennan’s bizarre strip-down was indeed an act of protest, and therefore protected under the free speech clause in the US Constitution’s First Amendment.

Petersen, the deputy DA, says he finds faults with the ruling. “Any person naked for any purpose will be able to say it was protected speech,” he tells the Associated Press. Brennan suggests, however, that the invasive searches made mandatory by the TSA does enough to discredit his constitutional rights as is.

“I wanted to show them it's a two-way street,” he says. “I don't like a naked picture of me being available.”
